SPECIAL EVENTS

woolorama waginWOOLORAMA

Held in early March each year, this two day extravaganza is Western Australia's biggest Autumn Show, hosting up to 30,000 patrons. Woolorama is considered a showcase for the latest technology in the rural world with a wide range of attractions and entertainment for all the family.

Stud sheep, cattle and goats, along with a wide array of rural machinery, produce and commercial displays, shearing and shedhand competitions, form just part of Woolorama.

Art, photography, state sheepdog trials, inventor competitions, fashion shows, gourmet food and markets, along with all the fun of the fair at sideshow alley, will certainly tempt you to enjoy the Woolorama experience.

Wagin’s Giant Ram. As the centre of WA’s thriving merino stud industry and the home of the Wagin Woolorama, the town is proud of its farming heritage.

Held in Ram Park annual this is a fun community day of celebrating the history of the nation.

FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATIONS

On Foundation Day in June the gates of the Wagin Historical Village are open with free admission. There is fun and festivities with local stalls and produce markets, vintage cars, a pioneer recognition ceremony, a flag raising ceremony and the placing of a plaque on the unmarked grave of a pioneer.
